Today we dressed a felt snowman. I cut a simple snowman out of felt and we added his parts. We talked about quite a bit of vocabulary during this activity and used our fine motor skill to put him together. I got this idea from a great therapy web site. http://therapyfunzone.com/blog/2011/12/snow-man-dressing/.
Adeline was quite proud of herself when she finished! Did you notice she has her glasses on? This is a huge accomplishment!
We "pushed" snowflake toothpicks into playdough.

I love all of these activities, as usual! Adeline is so cute with her glasses on:) Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOoooh! I LOVE the snowman idea! I think both my toddlers and preschoolers would benefit from it! I hope you'll share it on the linky party at http://preschoolpowolpackets.blogspot.com/2012/01/teach-me-tuesday-1-17-12.html -- I hope to see you there!
ReplyDeleteHello! I'm visiting from the Teach Me Tuesday linky party. You have a cute little girl! Thanks so much for posting!
ReplyDeleteGreat activities, but I just had to say that she is so cute with her glasses on!
ReplyDeleteThis really is awesome! Thank you so much for linking up at Teach Me Tuesday!!
ReplyDeleteOh how fun. She's beautiful! I'm a new follower!
ReplyDeleteGreat activities, and thanks for the link to the snowman-dressing printable! LOVE the glasses ... too cute! Thanks for linking up with Montessori Monday. I featured your post at the Living Montessori Now Facebook page: www.facebook.com/LivingMontessoriNow
ReplyDeleteAdeline, you are just too stinken cute in your pink glasses! Love it!
ReplyDeleteLove the glasses! Marvin has them in green. They are indestructable, which you will love. We have the same snowman work out at my school and it is so well loved. Do you do the snowman rhyme? You could get 5 stuffed snowmen or make 5 felt ones and teach it. It goes 5 little snowmen sitting in a row each with a hat and a big red bow. Out came the sun and it shone all day and one little snowman melted away. You work down to one. Great for counting backwards, memory, and it is just cute with the actions. My 2s love it and my K pretend to be too cool for it, but they are the first ones to "volunteer" to give the snowman lesson to the younger ones!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking when I saw the picture how cute her glasses were. I am a first time visitor to the blog so I didn't know it was an accomplishment. That is awesome. I love them so I hope she starts to soon. I wore glasses from a young age and they are not fun. I feel for her having to wear them, but it is so much nicer to see.
ReplyDeleteI also loved this activity. I need to get some felt and try it this week. I think they have felt at the dollar store even.
Thanks for sharing at Monday Madness. Hope to see you again tomorrow!
