Adeline has been really enjoying her trumpette cow lately! She like to sit and bounce. I know that crossing mid line activities are important so I am trying to add this to playing on the cow. Today I used some bags of beans to start adding some extra weight. I want to make some weighted bean bags but have not had time for that yet. We started with the beans on one side and moved them to the other, crossing midline not handing off to the other hand.
What a great idea! (I think I could use an exercise like that while sitting on the big boys' hippity hop!) Miss K has a trumpette cow too and loves when we put her on it (we still have to hold her on it ... her toes can barely touch the ground).
ReplyDeleteGreat activity idea. Kind of nice that you did not get to the weighted bean bags. I like how your daughter can enjoy seeing the beans inside and can see them move when you shake the bag. Just adds some more interest to the activity.
ReplyDeletethis looks quite tricky - last time Goblin tried sitting on one of those trumpette cows he just fell straight off again! I didn't know about crossing the midline stuff - I'll have to try and get Goblin to do some activities that include that aspect. Thanks for the info
ReplyDeleteI love your pics..such concentration! Great activity, my twins love beanbags so shall give this a go!
ReplyDeleteOh would a trumpette cow be loved around here!
