It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood!

The weather is amazing here.  This is what we have been waiting for all summer long.  So we headed off to the park.

We meet some friends at the park.  This family has also been blessed with the gift of an extra chromosome.  When I first had Adeline and wasn't sure what to do, this momma called me.  Having a child with special needs has shown me who my true friends are.  After we received the news of Adeline's diagnosis I lost friends they just never called again.  Yes,  some days I miss those friendships but this journey has brought what is real into our life!

    Adeline and Nate

         "Hi Adeline"

                             Adeline is not "looking"

Can we please be friends?

    "Adeline say cheese"

   She's still not looking

  2. It was my intent to take Little Miss D to the park today too. There's a brand new one not too far from my house and I wanted to go check it out. Yep, I got lazy. Perhaps I will try again on Thursday. LOL.

When you mentioned your lost friends, I thought about one of my favorites quotes:

"A good friend will come bail you out of jail, but a true friend will be sitting next to you saying...'Darn, that was fun!"

I'm really glad that your lost friends made room in your life for some new true friends!

  3. HI there! Blog hopping really late, but I wanted to stop in and say hi! Adeline is so cute! I have lots of those days of my Katie not wanting to cooperate when I am taking pictures. I love her name too!

  4. I can completely relate with the lost friends situation. I lost my best friend of 14 years because she is "uncomfortable" with the Ds. But, I figure it's not too much of a loss.....she couldn't have been that "Great" of a friend if she can't support me through this journey.

It's amazing the number of wonderful new people that come into your life, though, and that makes up for any loss friendships!

Looked like you guys had a great day at the park!!!

  5. Oh, they look adorable, even if Adeline didn't want to look at the camera. :)
